HKU Vietnam is excited to launch our first-ever innovation contest: "REIvolution Ideas: HKU Vietnam Innovation Contest"

In celebration of our 2nd anniversary, the Representative Office of the University of Hong Kong in Vietnam (HKU Vietnam) is excited to launch our first-ever innovation contest: "REIvolution Ideas: HKU Vietnam Innovation Contest".

Theme: "REIvolution: A Two-Year Journey of Research, Education, and Impact"

The contest focuses on our three core pillars: Research, Education, and Impact. We invite passionate young individuals to contribute groundbreaking ideas that will help shape the future of HKU Vietnam.

This is not just an idea contest; it's an opportunity to:

  • Shape the future: Directly contribute to the development of education and research in Vietnam.

  • Realize your ideas: The most outstanding idea will have the chance to be developed into reality with us.

  • Experience an international environment: Learn and work alongside our team of experts.

1. Eligibility

  • Individuals aged 18-25 nationwide with a passion for education.

2. Format of the Submission

  • Submission: The submission should be a PowerPoint presentation in English.

  • Style: The presentation should be creative, logical, and persuasive.

  • Visuals: Use images, videos, and other graphics to illustrate your ideas clearly and attractively.

3. Contest Theme

The theme is "REIvolution: A Two-Year Journey of Research, Education, and Impact."

Participants are encouraged to propose forward-thinking and constructive ideas focused on at least one of the three main pillars of HKU Vietnam:

  • Research:
As a top 20 global research university, HKU aims to lead groundbreaking research projects in Vietnam. You can propose any research area for HKU, highlighting the value this research brings to Vietnam and outlining your potential role in the research team. For example, HKU is ranked No. 1 globally in "Educational Research," No. 2 in "Infectious Disease," and No. 4 in "Microbiology," according to US News Global University. HKU also has the largest Asia Case Research Center, publishing business case studies monthly on topics like "Oppo - Where to Find Growth Outside of China," etc.

  • Education:
HKU aims to be the bridge connecting young Vietnamese talents to world-class education programs, partnering with prestigious institutions like Columbia University (Ivy League) and London Business School (ranked No. 1 in Europe). However, HKU wants to hear from young Vietnamese students about how we can be the most effective bridge. For example, should HKU establish the first Fintech Academy in Da Nang or develop a world-class ESG training program in Vietnam? Share your ideas with us.

  • Social Impact:
HKU’s third priority in Vietnam is creating impactful social projects. HKU is ready to help underprivileged provinces by building a free online English library or organizing Immersion Trips to foster cultural understanding between young people in Vietnam and Hong Kong. We believe a university should also have a mission to serve the community. Suggest a community issue or a marginalized group in need, and how HKU Vietnam can work together with you to address this challenge.

Notes

  • Submissions must be original and not previously published in any media.

  • Content must align with Vietnamese cultural values and avoid sensitive political or legal topics.
