HKU Vietnam (HKU VN) celebrated the 2nd anniversary with a grand event, REIvolution, held at The Reverie Saigon on August 1, 2024. The event brought together faculty, parents, students, industry leaders, media and partners to commemorate our achievements and chart our course for the future.

The event was an opportunity to reflect on HKU VN's journey, marked by significant growth and success, specifically through the three main pillars that HKU VN has been pursuing and continues to pursue: Education - Research - Impact.

A Day of Celebration and Inspiration

REIvolution was a dynamic showcase of HKU VN’s growth and impact. The event kicked off with an exclusive press meet and greet, providing media representatives with valuable insights into our mission, vision, and the transformative journey we've undertaken over the past two years. Esteemed journalists had the opportunity to engage with HKU VN's leadership team, to gain deeper insights into HKU's academic programs and the unique aspects of the education offered by the university, which is ranked 17th in the world. They also learned about HKU VN's long-term strategic directions aimed at expanding and enhancing its role as an educational bridge between Vietnam, Hong Kong, and China.

The Scholarship Awards Ceremony

Since its establishment, HKU VN has served as a launchpad for over 30 talented Vietnamese students pursuing undergraduate and master's studies in Hong Kong. In the years 2023 and 2024, HKU funded over 2 million USD to provide undergraduate scholarships to 16 high school students and awarded 11 master's scholarships from HKU Business School - Optimas Capital, as well as MBA scholarships to 2 outstanding students. These scholarships open up opportunities for young people to study at the prestigious HKU, which offers more than 90 diverse academic programs.

A highlight of the event was the Scholarship Awards Ceremony, where we proudly recognized and rewarded outstanding students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and leadership potential. These scholarships are a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering academic excellence within the community. The inspiring stories shared by the scholarship recipients highlighted the transformative impact of HKU VN's support on their educational and personal journeys. HKU VN has awarded scholarships to 16 undergraduate students, 8 master's and MBA students, who will be heading to Hong Kong to begin their studies at HKU and HKU Business School for the upcoming 2024 academic term. 

A Future of  Excellence and Growth

The REIvolution event also announced our enrollment plans for 2025, which will commence in September 2024, along with an expanded array of scholarships for Vietnamese students. This will provide more opportunities for young Vietnamese to access top-tier education in Hong Kong.. With a focus on research, education and impact, HKU VN is poised to launch groundbreaking programs and partnerships. These initiatives aim to enhance the student experience, promote interdisciplinary research, and strengthen our ties with the global academic and business communities.
