On September 28, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) successfully hosted the "Embrace the Future" event in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting over 100 students and parents. For the first time, deans from two of HKU's faculties visited Vietnam to gain insights into the local market and offer personalized admissions advice, while introducing special scholarship opportunities for Vietnamese students.

Ranked 2nd in Asia and 17th globally by the QS World University Rankings 2024-2025, HKU is focusing on attracting Vietnamese talent through its range of full scholarships and relaxed visa policies, making it easier for students to study and work in Hong Kong after graduation.

A major highlight of the event was the extensive career opportunities available to graduates. Through seven talent recruitment programs, Vietnamese students can stay and work in Hong Kong after graduation, with options like the Top Talent Pass Scheme and IANG opening doors to positions at leading global companies.

HKU also announced that 20 full scholarships are available for outstanding Vietnamese students this year. While competition is high, the opportunities are significant for those who excel.

HKU offers a multicultural learning environment, with students from over 100 countries, and provides international internship opportunities, especially within the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Social Sciences. Through collaborations with top institutions such as UC Berkeley, students can gain both academic knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing them for the global job market.

The event also emphasized the wide-ranging job prospects in Hong Kong, where students can access programs aimed at recruiting top talent, enabling them to work with prestigious companies like Goldman Sachs, HSBC, and Deloitte.
