The Role

The appointee will

  • Edit and proofread academic papers for publication in international journals, postgraduate dissertations and theses;
  • Prepare commissioned writing, grant application proposals, reports, prospectus and speeches;
  • Update and administer research output databases;
  • Answer enquiries for published papers; and perform other duties as assigned.
  • What will you need

    Experience

  • Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; competent in academic English writing and editing; the capacity to handle correspondence independently; and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Have hands-on experience in computer software, particularly those related to editing, presentation and publication.
  • Be self-motivated, a good team player, and able to work efficiently under immense pressure.
  • Experience in medical editing will be an advantage.

  • To commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal
